Located in Midtown Sacramento. Liestal Alley Gallery is surrounded by popular restaurants and coffee houses in the Handel District. If you enter the Alley from 18th St. at the store, Scout Living, our entrance is located between the prominant stained glass windows halfway down the alley. We hope to see you at the Sac Open Studios on the first weekend in September, or visit by appointment.

Lived experience informs the politics, worldview, and art of mutli-disciplinary artist, Paul Benavidez. He got his BA in Studio Art at the University of California Santa Barbara and an MFA in Visual Arts at the Vermont College of Fine Arts. www.paulbenavidez.com.

Whether you choose to commission a portrait from a photograph, or sit for a life portrait in the studio, the result is a dynamic character study. As in the artwork shown, his medium varies: oils, acrylic with pigment dispersions, charcoal, and pastels over pen and ink on archival paper.
